01

Responsible entity, scope, and effective date

Joshua R. Todd Ministries, Inc. is the responsible entity for Quiet Margin, an Android application. This policy applies only to the Quiet Margin app and the public support and privacy pages prepared for it. It does not describe unrelated websites, ministries, services, devices, app stores, or operating-system providers. The effective date is August 4, 2026.

02

Intended audience and adult-use boundary

Quiet Margin is intended for a general adult audience, with a target audience of adults age 18 and older. It is an optional private Christian reflection companion. It is not designed for children, classrooms, supervised youth programs, professional facilitators, counseling relationships, or the management of another person. Adults remain responsible for deciding whether the editorial material is appropriate for their own circumstances.

03

Purpose and principal features

The app provides forty-six original editorial reflection pages, a Notice–Consider–Carry reading sequence, optional personal-practice prompts, private in-person adult conversation cards, a preset carry-card selector, a source shelf, and a simple on-screen quiet interval. These features are educational and reflective. They are not represented as official programs, sermons, doctrine, events, pastoral services, volunteer placements, eligibility guidance, professional advice, or promises of any outcome.

04

Data collected, transmitted, and not collected

The Quiet Margin Android app does not collect or transmit personal data or app activity off the device. It has no server, account, registration, contact form, prayer submission, messaging, upload, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or cloud synchronization. The app does not request names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise or approximate location, identifiers, contacts, photos, audio, payment information, health information, prayer content, beliefs, counseling details, or free-text responses. Reflection answers are never entered into the app. The prepared public support pages are static and contain no account system, form, ads, analytics, tracking pixel, or publisher-controlled cookie.

05

On-device preferences and session state

The only persistent app preference is the numeric identifier of a preset carry card selected by the device user. The corresponding phrase is part of the app's fixed editorial library; users cannot type or store a custom phrase. The currently displayed folio page, table card, navigation position, and quiet-interval time may remain in temporary memory or Android instance state while the app is running or being recreated. They are not sent to the publisher or any third party.

06

Sensitive records, youth records, and free-text notes

The app does not provide a journal, prayer log, counseling record, confession field, health record, youth profile, attendance list, incident report, private-message archive, or any other free-text record. Users should not treat screenshots or device-level notes made outside the app as protected by Quiet Margin. The app does not collect, infer, classify, or profile religious beliefs, emotional state, health status, or participation.

07

Permissions

Quiet Margin requests no Internet, network-state, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, storage, notification, advertising, biometric, or other dangerous runtime permission. It uses only ordinary Android capabilities required to display local text and images, keep one local preference, and run an on-screen countdown while the activity remains open. This permission statement describes version 1.0.0.

08

Accounts, login, and account deletion

The app has no account, username, password, sign-in, authentication, membership, profile, or subscription. Account deletion therefore does not apply. Removing the selected carry card through the Privacy Center, clearing the app's local storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the app removes the app-controlled local preference.

09

Ads, analytics, tracking, attribution, and third-party SDKs

Quiet Margin contains no advertising, AdMob, analytics, crash-reporting service, attribution, tracking pixel, social SDK, remote configuration, push service, consent-management SDK, or third-party network SDK. It does not create an advertising profile, measure engagement for the publisher, or use cross-app or cross-site tracking. No AdSense code or ads.txt file belongs to this app support package.

10

Sharing, disclosure, sale, and third parties

Because the app does not collect or receive personal data, it does not sell, rent, share, disclose, or monetize personal data. No data is sent from the app to the responsible entity, another ministry, an advertiser, a data broker, a social platform, or an analytics provider. Android, the app store, and the device manufacturer may process information under their own terms. When the static support pages are publicly hosted, the hosting or network provider may process ordinary web request and security data, such as an IP address and user-agent, under its own practices. That provider-side website processing is separate from the offline app and receives no data from it.

11

External links, contact, export, and network behavior

Quiet Margin is offline-only and declares no Internet permission. Inside the Android app, the Source Shelf prints reference addresses as plain text for transparency but does not open them, fetch content, or verify availability. The app has no browser view, email intent, phone intent, contact form, share action, file export, livestream, donation flow, or external sign-in. The public Sources page may include ordinary links to official IRS pages. Following one leaves the support site, and the destination provider's privacy and security practices apply.

12

Retention

The selected preset carry-card identifier remains in the app's private local preferences until the user selects another card, uses Delete Local Preferences, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. Temporary screen and timer state normally ends when Android destroys the activity or the user resets the timer. The publisher has no server-side retention because no information is transmitted to or received by the publisher.

13

Deletion, backup, restore, and device transfer

The Privacy Center includes a Delete Local Preferences control that clears the app-managed preference. Users may also clear app storage or uninstall through Android. Quiet Margin sets allowBackup to false, so the app does not intentionally include its preference in Android backup, restore, or device-to-device transfer. Operating-system behavior, managed-device tools, screenshots, or third-party device backups outside the app's control may follow separate rules.

14

Security measures and limits

The app minimizes risk by operating without a network permission, account, sensitive input, external SDK, background service, or cloud database. Its one preference is held in Android app-private storage. No security method can protect an unlocked or compromised device, a modified operating system, screen capture, or information copied into another app. Users should use device-level access controls suitable for their circumstances.

15

Children, Families, and safeguarding

Quiet Margin is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children or anyone else. It has no child profile, adult-to-child messaging, public profile, location sharing, attendance, classroom assignment, or social feature. Adults who allow a minor to view content on their device remain responsible for supervision and suitability. The app must not be used to pressure a minor to disclose personal, spiritual, family, or emotional information.

16

Faith reflection, health, safety, and professional-advice limits

The quiet interval is only a basic countdown that sets aside time for private faith reflection. Quiet Margin does not claim to provide mindfulness, stress reduction, relaxation, sleep support, emotional regulation, mental-health benefit, diagnosis, treatment, recovery, crisis intervention, counseling, pastoral care, healing, prophecy, legal advice, or medical advice. It does not monitor breathing, audio, movement, or physical condition. For immediate danger or urgent health needs, contact local emergency services or an appropriately qualified professional outside the app.

17

Policy changes and user choices

A future app version may update this policy if the app's behavior, law, or distribution requirements change. A changed policy should receive a new effective date and be reflected consistently in the app and public page. Users may decline the optional carry-card feature, delete the local preference, stop the quiet interval, stop using the app, clear local storage, or uninstall at any time. Material new collection or network behavior must not be introduced without updating the policy and store declarations first.
